One month ago, I received my N4 dash cam in the mail and got it installed in less than a day… I’ve been waiting a while to test this one out.Â
I’m thrilled to share my experience after using it everyday for a month, let’s get right into my complete Vantrue N4 review, starting with the pros & cons.

My Vantrue N4 Experience
3 Channel Dash Cam 360 Degree Coverage
The feature that instantly caught my attention was the triple camera set-up. A front, interior, and rear camera – this is the Holy Trinity of surveillance.Â
The front-facing camera of the Vantrue N4 has great video quality that captures the tiniest details. It was like I had a film crew for my daily commute.
And then there’s the interior and rear cameras. The interior camera blew me away, in fact, I don’t think I’ll go back to a dash cam without one.Â
Takeaway: With the amount of times I’ve gotten too close to backing up into an unseen object… or wondered what my kids were up to in the back seat during a long road trip – the Vantrue N4 dash cameras showed me it all.
It even earned a spot on our best 3 way dash cam list for the sheer amount of coverage it provides. Even compared to the other 3-channel dash cams on the market, none of them offer the wide angle views on every camera lens like the Vantrue N4 does.
Motion Detection & Night Vision
One of the underdog features is the motion detection in parking mode. With the Vantrue N4’s parking mode, I felt safe parking my car in places I would usually avoid. It starts recording the moment it detects any movement.
The night vision capability of the Vantrue N4 is another underrated feature. Night dash cam footage can be hard to watch, but the Vantrue N4 made sure I didn’t miss anything.Â
Whether it’s a stray animal darting across the road or an approaching vehicle’s number plate, the Vantrue N4 captures it all, making it an excellent companion for late-night drivers.
Easy Installation
The installation of the Vantrue NN4 Dash Cam is a breeze, even for a non-techie like me. The suction cup mount included in the package is robust and installs in minutes.Â
It holds the dash cam firm, preventing any shaky footage. No professional help, no extra costs, just a straightforward DIY installation that even a novice can handle.
Vantrue N4 3 Channel Price
Now let’s move onto one of my only cons, price. Admittedly, the Vantrue N4 Dash Cam is a bit pricey. But the moment I opened my package, I understood why. The build, the design, the features – everything screams premium quality. It’s like buying a high-end smartphone in my opinion.
Comparison to Other Models From Vantrue
If the N4 price is a little over your budget, there are some great other cameras Vantrue offers:

The Vantrue N2 Pro Dash Cam has dual 1080P, and front camera 1440P @ 30 FPS or 1080P 60 FPS, capturing the road and cabin (through the rear view camera) simultaneously with impeccable detail.

The built-in mic has clear dash cam audio recording. Its time-lapse feature allows efficient storage of long videos by taking photos at set intervals and stitching them into a video.Â
Vantrue S1
The S1 is a dual 1080P dash cam that records with the front and rear camera at 30 FPS. The front facing camera Sony Vision tech captures clear images even in low light conditions. The HDR adjusts the exposure for better clarity.
The Super Capacitor is used to draw power into the battery for continuous recording. The S1 also features a G-sensor to lock videos during impact and supports loop recording and time-lapse. It also accommodates a 256GB microSD card, ensuring ample storage for your trips.
Vantrue E1
E1 is a compact yet powerful dash camera, featuring a top-quality Sony CMOS sensor for crisp 2592 by 1944P footage. With HDR Technology and nighttime vision, it captures clear details, even in the dark.
The built-in 2.4G WiFi lets you connect to a mobile app for live view, video download, and sharing. It even includes GPS for routing, hands-free voice control for safer driving.
Vantrue X4S
The Vantrue X4S dash cam features a 3″ LCD screen for easy setting changes and video viewing. It offers front 4K and rear camera recording at 1080P, ensuring optimal coverage. With collision detection includes, it’s sure to enhance your vehicle security.
The external GPS records your route and speed, viewable via the Vantrue App. The X4S can be controlled through the app (even the rearview camera), making it easier to adjust settings and transfer files.

I already went over a lot of the key features the Vantrue N4 offers so I’ll keep this brief, but there’s a few other features and important details that stood out compared to other dash cams.
Multi-Purpose Action Camera / Interior Camera
What if I told you that the Vantrue N4 is more than just a dash cam? It doubles as a dedicated action camera, allowing you to document your scenic drives and share them with friends. The cabin camera though, is perfect for capturing those fun moments during a road trip to make your journey unforgettable.
Vantrue's Smartphone App
Vantrue’s convenient dash cam app is the cherry on top. It makes viewing and managing the footage a breeze. No more fiddling around with memory cards. It’s user-friendly and simplifies the entire experience, making the Vantrue N4 more than just a gadget – it’s a seamless extension of your lifestyle.Â
Not to mention the wireless ability of the N4 easily outshined the WiFi Dash Cam Pro, a dash cam made specifically for wireless phone connection.
GPS Module
Apart from the obvious help with navigation, the built in GPS gave me the ability to record clips & know exactly where the dash camera was located at the time of recording. In all three cameras. Incredible in my opinion.
SD Card
I also got the Vantrue micro SD card with my purchase of the N4. Although you don’t technically need an SD card due to the app flexibility, it’s always good to have in case of an emergency. Most dash cams don’t come with a micro SD card included, just another reason the Vantrue N4 3 Channel stands out.

So… why does the Vantrue N4 Dash Cam deserve a nearly perfect 4.5 out of 5 star rating? My new Vantrue N4 has seamlessly integrated into my cars set-up. In my opinion, this dash cam is worth every penny. This feature-packed device with three cameras delivers incredible video quality.
If you’re in the market for a dash cam, even a passing interest, I’d recommend the N4. For the functionality it has, it’s one of the best dashcams I’ve tried.
The three cameras give comprehensive coverage, for holistic view of your cars surroundings. The smartphone video files make sure you don’t miss any important details, while the interior and rear cameras add an extra layer of security.
After my initial price-tag shock, I realized it’s justified based on what Vantrue N4 has to offer.
