Rexing V33 3-Channel 2K Dash Camera Review
Over the years, I’ve tried a bunch of dash cams and from what I’ve experienced so far – I’m sticking with the Rexing V33 dash cam for the foreseeable future.
It’s not a simple dash cam – it’s a road witness with a sleek design. The 3-channel system records everything in front, inside, and to the rear of your car.
But what happens when you’re not around? The Rexing V33 transitions into surveillance mode and uses the parking monitor feature.
If your car gets hit while you’re away, or if someone tries to break in, the camera records it all & notifies you. But with its LED indicator that signals it’s recording, it might just prevent any thieves from targeting your car in the first place.
I used the Rexing V33 3-Channel dash camera for over a month… I’m here to share my experience. Let’s get started with the pros and cons.

My Rexing V33 Dash Cam Experience
First Impression
Right away I liked the Rexing V33’s sleek, discreet design. It was almost as if the device was designed to be a hidden protector (it was). The size and shape of all three cameras allow it to blend seamlessly with my cars interior. The install was easy and you can’t even see any of the cameras from outside the vehicle.
The Rexing V33 doesn’t just look good, but it is a hardworking device that’s built to last. The built-in supercapacitor lets the V33 operate across a wider temperature range than most dash cam models. To be exact, it works in ranges from -20 to 176 degrees F.
3-Channel Dash Cam: Front, Cabin and Rear Camera
The biggest standout feature is the 3-channel recording capability. Three cameras recording in unison. The V33 dash cam integrates front, cabin, and rear cameras, all recording in 2K (1480p) resolution. This tri-camera system provides a total coverage, offering peace of mind by capturing what’s happening both inside and outside my car.
The Rexing V33’s cabin view is particularly handy for rideshare drivers or parents with kids. This feature provides a clear view of the vehicle’s interior, providing an added layer of security. Being able to monitor both the road and your vehicle’s interior simultaneously brings peace of mind.
Imagine you’re driving on the highway and another vehicle cuts you off. With an ordinary front-facing dash cam, all you’d have is footage of your vehicle break checking. But with the Rexing V33, you’d have footage of the vehicle cutting you off, your reaction inside the cabin, and the rear view angle showing the response of the vehicle behind you.
Takeaway: The wide-angle 170-degree lens on each of the cameras really opens up the field of view. I never thought something like a camera lens angle would be important to me, but it really shows the complete picture around my car.
Temperature Resistance
The Rexing V33 is built to withstand extreme temperatures. The last couple weeks have been over 100 degrees in Texas but even after a month of using the V33, I didn’t notice any drop in performance. Whether you live in a hot or cold environment, it works perfectly regardless.
This durability enhances its reliability, ensuring your dash cam continues to function optimally regardless of the weather conditions. The temperature resistance was impressive it made it on our list of the best heat resistant dash cams.
Watching My Night Recordings
Laying in bed watching video playback of my earlier footage has turned into my nightly routine. Since I drive a lot at night, dash cam video can be annoying wo watch without night vision. Here’s where Rexing V33’s super night vision technology shines.
If you don’t know what super night vision is, it automatically fine-tunes brightness exposure & contrast in the absence of light. It’s a standout feature for me.
I was skeptical initially, but my first few night drives with this dash cam were enough to put any doubts to rest. I tested it by driving on an unlit country road just outside Fort Worth – and all 3 cameras captured insanely clear footage. I was impressed to say the least.
Driving Smarter with the Built-in WiFi & GPS
One of the things I love about the Rexing V33 is how it combines technology and convenience. The built-in WiFi lets me pair my phone with the dash cam, making it easy to view and download footage. The accessibility of video playback, right on my smartphone, is a tremendous convenience during incidents.
The GPS feature is another highlight – the Rexing V33 logged my cars speed and location using its Google Maps integration. It’s a great tool to have in case of an accident dispute and it makes easier to plan an exciting weekend trip, or even to track my longer drives.
Smart Phone App Integration
Rexing has a mobile app, which allows you to conveniently access recorded footage and adjust settings remotely. You basically have your dash cam controls right at your fingertips, anytime, anywhere. Read our full article about how to download video from your Rexing Dash Cam for more information about the app integration.
V33 Safety Features
The Rexing V33 takes safety seriously. When it comes to the Rexing V33, safety isn’t an afterthought; it’s a priority. This dash cam keeps an eye on your vehicle, both when you’re on the move and parked. Here’s how the safety features gave me peace of mind.
Intelligent Parking Sentry Mode Activation
When your vehicle is parked, the Rexing V33 automatically switches to parking mode using motion & collision detection. Having a dash cam that looks out for your car when you’re away is a must – some people steal dash cams in high-crime rate areas. The Rexing V33’s parking mode helps prevent that altogether. It’s designed to capture any unexpected incidents like hit-and-run accidents or acts of vandalism while your car’s unattended.
What makes the Rexing V33’s parking mode extra special? The sensitivity settings can be adjusted according to your preferences and location. Whether you’re parked in a bustling city or a quiet suburb, you can set the sensitivity to ensure it captures any untoward activity without triggering false alarms. I’ve heard complaints from customers who disabled parking mode because they kept getting meaningless parking monitor alerts. The wind blowing leaves around, or a cat walking by.
But with the Rexing V33 3 Channel parking monitor, you can customize the settings to fit your needs. It’s worth mentioning that the installation of the parking mode requires a bit of understanding of your vehicle’s fuse box. You can always pay a mechanic to install it instead, but it’s a process that could be made a easier – this is a huge negative for me and part of the reason it’s not a perfect 5/5 rating.
Built-in G-Sensor
The built-in G-sensor is installed to automatically start recording if anything out of the ordinary happens. It detects sudden acceleration, harsh braking, or impacts – forcing the camera to save and record instantly. It can provide the critical evidence you need during insurance claims.
Loop Recording Processing
The loop recording feature on the Rexing V33 ensures your dash cam never misses a moment. Even when the memory card reaches its capacity, this feature ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest, unlocked footage. Rexing also gives you the ability to adjust each loop timing (1-minute, 3-minute, etc.) to suit your needs.
LED Recording Indicator
You’ll always be able to tell when it’s recording, unlike some more confusing dash cams. Thanks to the LED recording indicator, you get a visual indication so you know your dash cam is actively recording. Not only is it helpful for you, but it can discourage inappropriate behavior from other drivers on the road who notice you’re recording.
More Cameras, More Storage
One last thing. You get what you pay for, and in this case – you’re paying for a 3-Channel dash cam. Three cameras means you need three different memory cards to store footage. I’ll write a full guide on the best SD card for dash cams soon but in the meantime, any U3 SD card over 32 GB will get the job done.
The Verdict
The Rexing V33 dash cam delivered on its promise, it gave me comprehensive coverage with its 3-channel recording. This dash cam is more than a recording device – it’s a cars safety tool. It keeps an eye on things when I’m away and gives evidence in accidents. The Rexing V33 gets 4.5 out of 5 stars from me, using our dash cam testing/rating methodology criteria.
It excelled in low-light conditions with its super night vision, and combining technology and convenience with built-in WiFi and GPS. Despite the slightly complex process of setting up the parking mode, the overall performance of makes it a keeper.
If you’re in the market for a reliable 3-Channel dash cam, the Rexing V33 is for you. However, if you’re looking for a dash cam less expensive that’s pretty efficient – read Amy’s recent Redtiger T700 mirror dash cam review. While its features don’t compete with Rexing V33, the value for cost you get is incredible.
