Wolfbox i07 Dash Cam Review 2023
In the dash cam world, having multiple cameras recording gives unmatched coverage from all angles. The Wolfbox i07 3-Channel Dash Cam steps up this technology with triple lens recording – from the front, interior, and rear camera – in a budget-friendly package.
With a discreet, mini cube design, the Wolfbox cameras tuck discretely into your car’s cabin to avoid drawing a thief’s eye. Yet the footage is a crystal clear 2.5K 1080p video from all angles.
The i07’s driver assistance features like parking monitoring & collision detection add to its value. Dual parking modes and night vision interior footage provide 24/7 security.

My Experience with the Wolfbox i07 Dash Cam
Unboxing & Installation Process
When I first opened up the box containing the Wolfbox i07, I was immediately impressed by the bundle of components included. Along with the main dash cam unit, the package contained two discreet mini cameras for the rear and interior of my car, super long connection cables, a car charger, trim removal tools, and multiple mounts.
Having all the necessary installation accessories included right off the bat made getting set up smooth and headache-free. The included user manual also provided clear instructions that even a dash cam novice like myself could follow.
Installing the Wolfbox i07 took me about 45 minutes thanks to the detailed user guide. I was able to tuck away the two mini cube cameras in the rear and above the infotainment screen without them being noticeable from outside the car.
The only tricky part was running the cables from the mini cams to the main unit, but the trim removal tools helped pop off interior panels to hide the wires. Having the extralong cables provided plenty of room to wire everything together.
While a hardwiring kit is required for parking mode, the plug-and-play installation worked great for my needs of having automatic recording while driving. Overall installation was a little difficult, but since all the components needed were included… it’s straightforward if you’re willing to put time into doing it correctly.
Capture Everything with Three Lenses
My favorite thing about the Wolfbox i07 is that it provides simultaneous recording from three angles – front, interior, and rear – while remaining discreet. The mini cube design of the rear and interior cams allows them to essentially “hide in plain sight” in my car’s cabin.
The three-channel design of the Wolfbox i07 means that everything happening around my car is recorded. The front cam captures a wide 150 degree view of the road along with 1080p footage of any incidents.
Meanwhile, the interior cam keeps an eye on passengers and captures cabin audio. Finally, the rear cam monitors my blind spots and would record any rear-end collisions.
Takeaway: I feel much more confident driving knowing that the Wolfbox has me covered from all angles in case of an accident.
Impressive Video Quality
Despite the discrete design, the Wolfbox i07 records stellar quality footage. Both the front and rear cams shoot sharp 2.5K video, while the interior cam records in 1080p. I don’t have to worry about drawing attention from thieves looking to steal a visible dash cam. But I still get the benefit of having crystal clear 2.5K and 1080p footage from all angles!
Night vision is amazing too thanks to the 6 infrared LED lights that allow the interior cam to see clearly in low light. The wide dynamic range and HDR functionality also means videos aren’t overly dark or bright.
The footage captured by the Wolfbox i07 has consistently impressed me with its clarity and ability to capture details like license plates. The video quality exceeds other more expensive dash cams I’ve used.
Where Wolfbox i07 Needs Improvements
While I’m satisfied with the Wolfbox i07 overall, there are a couple small areas for improvement. The lack of an included hardwiring kit means parking mode isn’t usable out of the box.
The company does offer an affordable hardwiring kit, but including one in the box would be more convenient. The microSD card is also not included, requiring an additional purchase.
Also, the suction cup mount isn’t the sturdiest mount I’ve used. Over time, I’ve had to re-secure it to keep the main unit stable. These are minor complaints though that don’t detract from the overall value and performance.
Takeaway: I feel much more confident driving knowing that the Wolfbox has me covered from all angles in case of an accident.
Other Advanced Features
Convenient Mobile App and GPS
Connecting the dash cam to my phone via the Wolfbox app makes accessing and managing recorded footage a breeze. I can easily download and share clips right from my phone.
The built-in GPS also lets me see exactly where incidents occurred right in the video footage itself. Having the location data embedded is extremely helpful and not something all dash cams include.
Safety Features
On top of just recording, the Wolfbox i07 has useful features that enhance driver safety. The G-sensor auto detects accidents and locks the footage so it can’t be overwritten. This gives me peace of mind that any important driving incidents will be saved.
The parking monitoring mode also keeps watch over my parked vehicle, automatically recording if anyone gets too close. However, a separate hardwiring kit is required for this feature to work properly.
The Verdict: Great Value 3-Channel Dash Camera
My time using the Wolfbox i07 3-Channel Dash Cam has been fantastic. Considering the Wolfbox i07 is hundreds less than comparable 3-Channel dash cams, it provides unbelievable value. Most other 3-channel cams only record in 1080p, while the Wolfbox offers higher 2.5K resolution.
It earns a 4.25 out of 5 star rating in my book… given the stellar video quality, driver safety features, and 3-channel recording, the Wolfbox i07 punches well above its price point.
The i07 earned the ‘Best Price’ award from our team in the article about the best 3 camera dash cam. For budget-focused drivers wanting complete 360 degree coverage, this dash cam can’t be beaten.
However, it’s certainly not the best 3-channel dash cam Wolfbox offers… In our recent Wolfbox G890 review, Glenn goes over why it received a near perfect score using our testing methodology. While the G890 offers a load of more features, it’s significantly more expensive and not as discreet as the i07.
The video quality and intuitive mobile app rival far more expensive brands. Given the discreet design with advanced safety features, the i07 gave me a ton of value at a low price. I highly recommend the Wolfbox i07 to anyone seeking worry-free driving and peace of mind from insurance companies. If the i07 isn’t right for you, read our Rove R3 dash cam review… it’s also a 3-Channel dash cam but offers a lot more features.
