A three channel dash cam gives comprehensive driving coverage by recording from three separate cameras. A front camera to capture the road ahead, a rear camera to record behind the vehicle, and a rotatable interior camera to monitor the inside of the car cabin.

Interior cameras are a must-have for rideshare drivers because they record all interactions with passengers inside your car. Then there’s the rear cam, which catches road events happening behind your vehicle that the front & interior miss.

In this article we compare the best 3-channel dash cams using our dash cam testing standards. We evaluate each cameras video quality from the front, rear, and interior lenses during both daytime and nighttime.

We also consider how easy it is to install, since three channel systems require routing cables & wires to three separate dash cameras around the car. Additional factors we look at include build quality, value for money, and extra features (GPS, parking monitoring, etc). Check out our dash cam reviews if you want to get a better idea of what we look for when we rate dash cams.

The Best 3 Channel Dash Cams

Best Overall: Wolfbox G890

4.75 / 5 Stars

Why it’s the best overall: With its 4K front camera lens, intuitive 12″ rearview mirror display, & host of smart features, we think the G890 is most well-rounded 3-channel system on the market right now.

Pros

Cons

Overall, the three synchronized cameras provide crisp 4K and 1080p footage inside and outside the vehicle. The mirror display makes it super easy to use, while the night vision and parking mode enhance safety. Built-in GPS is a nice bonus.

Even though the interior camera resolution is lower than the front & the hardwire kit must be purchased separately, the G890 delivers premium performance. After a month of use, we highly recommend the Wolfbox G890 as a top-tier 3-channel dash cam system with robust capabilities.

Best Coverage: Vantrue N4 3-Channel 4K Dash Cam

Vantrue N4 Rating: 4.5 / 5 Star Review

Why it offers the best coverage: With a 155° front camera, 165° interior camera, and 160° rear camera, the N4 provides a true 360 degree view while driving & in parking mode. If you’re a rideshare driver or you’re worried about car break-ins, we think the Vantrue N4 is the best option for you. Read our full review here.

Pros

Cons

The N4’s three camera system gave us a complete 360 degree view of our surroundings. The 4K front camera records sharp video, while the interior lens let us keep an eye on our passengers. Night vision and parking mode make sure nothing gets missed. Not to mention the cameras automatically synced when we played back our footage.

Installation only took us about 20 minutes, and the suction mount secured the camera pretty easily. It’s super convenient to manage videos using the smartphone app and wifi.

While the price is on the higher end, we think it’s justified due to the N4’s viewing coverage & video quality. The dash cams menu navigation has a learning curve, but the app makes up for it by making everything else easy.

Based on our experience, the Vantrue N4 is the way to go for the best coverage inside & outside your car. Not looking for a car dash cam? Read about why the N4’s next model iteration, the Vantrue N5, earned our award for the best truck dash cam.  Especially if you think that 3 camera angles might not get the recording job done properly for your trucking situation.

Most Features: Rove R3 Dash Cam

Rove R3 Dash Cam Final Rating 4.5 out of 5 Stars

Out of all the 3-channel systems we tested, the Rove R3 stood out for having the most robust feature set.

Pros

Cons

Even though its video quality not quite matching the competition, its responsive touchscreen, parking monitoring, WiFi connectivity, built-in GPS, and extra safety features give you everything you could want in a three channel dash cam.

The three synchronized cameras provide amazing high-resolution footage inside and outside the vehicle. The IR LEDs ensure the interior camera works in low light. Dual band WiFi allows quick video downloads to our phones.

We liked the monitoring for added security for our parked cars, and the GPS makes the videos valuable because of the location & time evidence (if anything happened to the car while away). The R3 performed great in both extreme heat and freezing temperatures.

While voice guidance was inconsistent and the price is on the higher side, we feel the super night vision and other features justify its cost. If you’re looking for the most loaded 3-channel dash cam, look no further than the Rove R3.

Best Video Quality: Redtiger F17 3-Channel

Redtiger F17 Star Rating: 4.5/5

Even though the Wolfbox G890 & Vantrue N4 have 4K recording capability on their front cameras, we noticed a quality difference during our side-by-side comparison with the Redtiger F17’s footage. Not to mention the Redtiger the only dash cam on this list with a 4K cabin camera.

Pros

Cons

All the cameras in the Redtiger F17 system are high-resolution with different parking modes that give complete video coverage inside and outside the vehicle. The dual 4K recording captured all the details we needed; both of the road & car interior. It also has a dedicated rear camera which is a great to get the full context of what’s going on around your car.

Parking mode gave us peace of mind whenever we were parked in an unfamiliar area, and the built-in WiFi makes recorded videos easily accessible. It’s fairly budget-friendly, especially for a 3-channel system with these features.

The installation took us a long time to complete… it’s not a streamlined process at all. The rear mount could be improved for functionality as well but other than those two things, the Redtiger F17 proved to be an excellent 3-channel dash cam.  We think the F17 is the standout winner for the best quality video. The affordability is just an added bonus.

Most Versatile: Azdome M550 Dash Camera

The Azdome M550 dash cam with a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Why it’s the most versatile: The Azdome M550 stood out for its easy installation. Based on our experience, its the most flexible 3-channel dash cam for adjusting to different users & vehicles.

Pros

Cons

With interchangeable lens modules, wi-fi connectivity, a swivel mount, and an exterior casing designed for any climate, the M550 adapts to any situation. The cameras record HD video inside and outside the car while the GPS embedding is a nice bonus for videos.

Parking mode adds security when parked, and the mobile app makes footage access easy. The build quality is durable, with flexible placement options.

But it wasn’t all a walk in the park. Parking mode requires a hardwire kit to prevent it from draining the battery, the G-sensor could be more precise, and each camera resolution varies. But when it comes to versatility, the Azdome M550 stood out to us for its adaptability.

Best Price: Wolfbox i07 3-Channel Dash Cam

Wolfbox i07 Dash Cam Gets 4.25 out of 5 star rating

The most affordable 3-channel dash cam on this list is the Wolfbox i07. If you’re on a budget but need complete coverage of your car, we got you covered!

Pros

Cons

These discreet mini cameras capture high-quality footage inside and outside the vehicle while remaining hidden. This dash cam is made for those who live in shady areas & want to keep eye on their car without breaking the bank. At night, the interior infrared LEDs make sure the inside of the car is visible on the recordings.

Its safety features like the parking mode & G-sensor give pretty good protection. Although the i07’s features aren’t as good as the other dash cams on this list, they get the job done.

The mobile app makes finding recordings easy. While the hardwire kit and memory card need to be bought separately, and the mount isn’t very sturdy, the Wolfbox i07 delivers amazing value given its capabilities and discreet design.

After testing it for a month, we highly recommend the Wolfbox i07 as a leading budget three channel dash cam system. It punches far above its price point with decent video quality across three lenses. We think the i07 is the best choice for drivers who need multi-angle coverage for those on a budget.
