The Wolfbox app helps micromanage everything your dash cam sees when you’re driving. It saves a ton of time and you’ll be able to see everything it sees right on your phone. You won’t need to mess around with the dash cam itself (but you still can if you want).
It’s pretty easy to set up but before you start, make sure your dash cam model is compatible. It works with these models:
- D07
- i03
- i05
- i07
- G840H
- T10P
Having all your dash cam stuff in one place on your phone is underrated. You have to activate your dash cams WiFi first though, and the process is slightly different depending if you have an iPhone or Android. Here’s how to do it both ways.

- Open the ‘Settings’ app on your iPhone and click wifi.

App Capabilities
Once you’re connected to your devices wifi, open the app. Wolfbox will automatically sync with your dash cam and show your dash cams live video feed (after the initial boot process). Let’s talk some stuff the app lets you do.
Play and Download Recordings
Once your smartphone is connected to your dash cam via the Wolfbox app, you can immediately access your video recordings. Click on the video list or gallery icon to view a list of all the recordings.
Watching videos is as simple as clicking on them. They’ll play right within the app, so there’s no need for any third-party video players. To save a video to your phone, click for three dots icon in the bottom lefthand side of the app UI. You’ll be presented with the option to download it directly to your smartphone.
Editing and Sharing Videos
The app isn’t just for viewing footage; you can also edit your videos without ever leaving your phone. After editing, you can share your videos straight from the app. Whether it’s to social media platforms or texts, you can easily send your interesting clips to your friends, family, or even your insurance company at a moments notice.
Integrating Google Maps for Detailed Views
One of the coolest features of the Wolfbox app is its Google Maps integration with GPS. When you watch back your videos, you can get a detailed view of your journey on the map. It’s helpful for remembering your driving routes & pinpointing locations during your drive. You have the option to disable this feature if you want.

Playing Videos on a PC
The experience extends to your personal computer too. If you prefer to view your footage on a bigger screen or need to make more detailed edits, you can use the Wolfbox Player on your PC. Just download the dedicated player software from the website, and you’re good to go.
The computer software works well with all Wolfbox dash cams. Unfortunately the app isn’t compatible with the Wolfbox G890, G900, or the G850 4K dash cam models at this moment.
Troubleshooting Common App Issues
Change the default Wi-Fi password in the Wolfbox app after you complete the initial setup. Go into the settings section of the app and click ‘Change password’ to create a new one. After changing your password, you’ll need to reconnect your phone to the dash cam’s Wi-Fi network using the new password. Don’t forget to restart the dash cam and make your phone “forget” the original network before reconnecting.
Don’t worry if you get “No Internet” notifications on your phone after connecting to the dash cam’s WiFi. This is normal. Your phone is telling you that it can’t find an internet connection through the WiFi because its primary purpose is to establish an upload connection between your phone and the dash cam, not provide internet access.
Yes, when your phone is connected to the dash cam via Wi-Fi, you can’t operate the dash cam manually. Functions like starting/stopping recordings, capturing screenshots, or accessing files need to be done through the Wolfbox app on your phone. It was create to prevent you from driving distracted.
